Take the first step

God loves you! And He wants you to have a personal relationship with you, through His Son Jesus Christ.

Know that God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.

The bible says; "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." God loves you so much that He sent his only Son to die for you. Only Jesus Christ can bring meaning and purpose to your life.

Recognise that you have all fallen short.

The bible tells us that everyone has sinned and is far away from God. That's what sin does; it cements a gap between us and God which leads us to a spiritual death; an eternal separation from God.

Understand that Jesus Christ paid the price for your sin by dying on the cross.

This is the good news! .Jesus Christ paid for our sins with His life. Because of His death on the cross, our sin doesn’t have to separate us from God anymore. It was His love for us that caused Him to endure the cross. This is the good news.

Change your direction by repenting of your sin.

The Bible tells us, "Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away." Instead of you running away from God, you can change your direction and run to Him.

Receive Jesus Christ into your life.

Receiving Christ is allowing Jesus to be Lord of your life. Jesus said,;  I’m standing at the door and knocking. If anyone listens to my voice and opens the door, I’ll come in'. Accept His invitation.

Below is a suggested prayer. As you pray this prayer sincerely from your heart, it will confirm the decision you have made to follow Jesus.

Dear Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner and I have lived my life for myself. I am sorry and I repent. I ask you to forgive me. I believe that you died on the cross for me, to save me. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life; I give it to you. Thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit to help me live every day for you and to do Your will for the rest of my life. Amen.
